High Efficiency Gas Engine

PRIME gas engine packages are designed in collaboration with our European partners and are designed for stationary applications as combined heat and power (CHP) standalones using either Natural gas or Bio-gas as fuel. The power range capabilities can be modularized into packages up to 4 MW of power for both 50 Hz and 60 Hz applications. Reliability, maximum availability and high efficiency are success factors that make Prime gas engines packages extremely cost effective. These engine packages are suitable for standby and continuous operation. Prime gas engines are characterized by their high power density which contributes to the high mechanical efficiency of almost 42%.

Performance & Efficiency

Prime gas engine packages have a unique performance with optimum ratio between electrical and thermal power and high mechanical efficiency of up to 42%. To achieve these optimum values, the entire combustion process has been optimized. The quick and complete combustion allows these high levels of efficiency even with lean gas mixture or low methane content gases. Gas quality is extremely important and need to be treated or scrubbed based on our standard minimum gas quality requirement to protect the engine from contamination and damage. Our gas engines comes with a combination of analogue and digital control system for Engine Control Unit, Detonation control, Speed & Power control, Gas mixture central, ignition timing control and auxiliary balance of system control to effectively manage the operation of the engines. Prime engine package can be sold as open type for installation inside a building or containerized for outdoor applications. Our gas engine solutions encompass single power train equipment option or turnkey type supply which is customizable and can include site installation

The constant inflow and filling of the combustion chambers with mixture of air and fuel ensures that all cylinders are equally loaded. Every turbocharger is carefully designed and selected for each engine and its respective load conditions. Advance exchange cycle optimization and consistent load distribution contributes to the high efficiency of Prime engine packages.

Lean Engine According To Otto Principle

The air-fuel mixture in the gas engine cylinder is ignited by a spark plug, unlike a diesel engine. The ignition timing and ignition energy levels can be easily adjustable for ideal combustion which translates to safer operation of the engine, preventing misfiring and knocking.

Optimized Combustion

The combination of four-valve technology with a gas specific ideal combustion chamber geometry encourages rapid and complete combustion. This technology leads to a tremendous increase in specific power and efficiency. Controlled reduction in cylinder clearance speeds up the start of combustion, improves combustion of the gas mixture and ultimately reduces fuel consumption and emissions.

One-Piece Steel Piston

One piece steel pistons are used in all our engines to ensure a long service life even under high combustion pressures and their geometry has been specially optimized for an ideal combustion chamber and this has helped us achieve significantly higher power density and efficiency.

Innovative Bearing Materials

To guarantee the durability of the crankshaft bearings under increasing loads, our bearings use special coatings on the composite bearing shells. The sputter bearings used are characterized by high resistance to corrosion.
